Vsevolozhsk Famous For Bribes

<BR>The Vsevolozhsk Region of Leningrad Oblast has recently become the focus of intense attention from the law enforcement agencies.<BR>Shortly after the head of Vsevolozhsk Region and his deputy were caught in corpus delicti, Yukki district administration head Alexander Zhgiliov and the director of OOO Yukki, Aleksei Yeliseev, were also arrested.<BR>Police Press Centre Head Igor Kommissarov says that both are suspected of having extorted a $15,000 bribe from the director of a St Petersburg company over the last three months, in exchange for company employees receiving land plots in Yukki region for personal use. Also, Alexander Zhgiliov is suspected of extorting a bribe of $500 for permission to receive a license to open a tyre repair workshop in the same district.<BR>Police Press Centre Head Igor Kommissarov says that both are suspected of having extorted a $15,000 bribe from the director of a St Petersburg company over the last three months, in exchange for company employees receiving land plots in Yukki region for personal use. Police say that some money was accepted and distributed officially, and some was split between the interested parties.<BR>
