<BR>Digital Design (St Petersburg) has become the second local software developer to be given the internationally-recognised ISO 9001 certification.<BR>Only two other Russian companies have been certified Trazas Marin (St. P.) and Argussoft Company (Moscow).<BR>"We spent many years perfecting our own quality control system, and now this has been reflected in our status. For example, the company has become a strategic partner with Microsoft, and an independent solution provider and business partner with IBM. After ISO 9001 certification, it will be far easier to make new contacts abroad. The process of reaching agreements will be vastly simplified, as potential clients will no longer have so many questions regarding the quality of development. Certification is a vital precondition for participating in major Western tenders," said Digital Design's general director, Andrei Fedorov.<BR>The certification process in Russia costs $20-25,000, but the cost of creating and maintaining a quality control system can be higher. Digital Design's management are sure that the investment will pay for itself.
