The Russian representative office of Dutch company BAAN has announced that it is to restructure its business in Russia and the CIS.
BAAN is one of the three leaders in developing and integrating automated administration systems for enterprises and financial organisations. Restructuring has already included the closure of the company's St Petersburg office, which was officially opened just five months ago. Five members of the St Petersburg office have been transferred to ZAO ILIM Pulp Enterprise. This holding is one of BAAN's clients, where the administration system BAAN IV is installed.
BAAN's entire Russian business is to be transferred to the management of its daughter company, BAAN Eurasia, and will be merged with the business of BAAN's partner, Russian Alpha-Integrator. Information agency Algorithm, quoting Roman Rosenberg, the head of BAAN's Russian representative office, says that the merger of BAAN Eurasia's and Alpha-Integrator's custom, in truth, implies the merger of these two companies themselves: at the end of November an agreement was signed, stipulating that Alpha-Integrator is to join BAAN Eurasia.
