<BR>The Internatinal construction exhibition BATIMAT, which is to be held for the second time in St Petersburg, has increased the number of participants by 25%, to about 400 companies from 20 countries. "We managed not only to maintain, but also increase the number of exhibitors, as we started to recruit them immediately after the fiirst exhibition ended," explains Irina Rudukhina. "About 40% of participants in this exhibition expressed a desire to exhibit here, staright after last year's BATIMAT ended, and the remaining exhibitors signed contracts with us before September 1998. So the crisis just did not have time to influence how we enlisted exhibitors." The BATIMAT exhibition will be split into several areas; each pavilion will be designated a separate type of construction activity.
