<BR>St Petersburg Telecom, FORA Communications' trading company, has begun to include its subscribers in an 'Authentication ' system protecting them from unauthorized connection.<BR>More than half of clients have already passed through the system.<BR>Authentication is a new technological development by Motorola. The system remembers the individual specifications of every mobile telephone and prevents clone telephones from breaking into the system, cutting short all attempts to gain unauthorized access. <BR>"Even after Authentication is fully implemented, we cannot 100% guarantee protection from penetration into our network, as penetration technology is also developing," says Backwalter.<BR>Delta Telecom introduced SIS, an access authorization system, in 1994. "Since then we have not registered a single case of penetration into our network," said a Delta's head of equipment purchases.
