<BR>British Homes Stores' St Petersburg branch, a 1200m2 department store which opened in the Atrium complex on Nevsky Prospect in 1997, has ceased trading and annulled its rental agreement. The shop occupied 1000m2 of trading area on the ground-floor, at a cost of $800/m2. At present, half of the complex's office space has been let to the EBRD, Deutsche Bank, and the offices of foreign companies in St Petersburg.<BR>The international-class business centre was built in 1997 at a cost of $30m, mainly with loans from Opic guaranteed by the Central Bank.
