The owners of the Littlewoods have begun a campaign gradually replacing it's trading name with a new name, 'The Point.'

<BR>The owners of the Littlewoods have begun a campaign gradually replacing it's trading name with a new name, 'The Point.'<BR>DP wrote last year about the sale by British company Littlewoods Organisation PLC of it's international retail network. The Russian chain, consisting of 4 shops in the city and 9 franchised outlets in Western Russia, were bought by a consortium of British businessmen who registered the trademark 'The Point' especially for the purchase of the Russian shops. The size of the deal remains secret, but it is known that during 5 years of work in Russia, Littlewoods has invested $10m.<BR>Following the sale, the chain has introduced new sales stimulation strategies and a new buying policy, which has led to the chain offering a wider assortment of less conservative clothes.
