<BR>City administration wants to increase the amount of collected taxes by permitting businesses to settle their accounts with the city with their produced goods. Administration is expecting to exinguish debts that some businesses have for the payment of the profit tax. According to different sources the debt of these businesses to the city's treasury is more than 1 trillion rubles. If this system gets implemented then the Petersburg businesses will get a municipal order and the treasury will return the debts to the budget. The businesses will declare to the Finance Committee (KF) how much of their debt they intend to pay off will commercial goods. The KF will try to figure out if the city actually needs these products. A subdivision of city administration will order necessary goods, work, or services every month. "So there is no increase in the cost of these products or any other imaginable intrigue, the KF will submit their own suggestion that there be an expert opinion from the governor's council. The council will also make the decision about when the goods and services will be purchased from the businesses", said one of the elaborators of the new plan.
