<BR>Last Thursday, foundations were ceremoniously laid at Perinny Ryady, alongside Gostiny Dvor, a project executed by a consortium of anonymous Russian companies at their own expense. The historical Perinny Ryady was planned to be recreated in 1996 at a cost of $20m, but the schedule was delayed while the cost rose to $32m. After new architectural plans were drawn up at AO LenNIIproekt, the project was reevaluated at $14m.
