Quante Pouyet Group Comes To City

The first office representing Franco-German telecommunications company Quante Pouyet Group in Russia is to be opened.

<BR>The first office representing Franco-German telecommunications company Quante Pouyet Group in Russia is to be opened.<BR>This industrial group develops, manufacturers and supplies elements and systems for communications networks.<BR>"The main task of the representative office is to expand the distribution network," says Stanislav Kodryansky, regional sales manager at the office. "We predict the turnover on our equipment to total DEM1m next year." The main distribution companies are presently AOOT Lentelfonstroi and OOO Konnekt in St Petersburg, and TOO Firma Seti I Sistemy in Moscow. According to Kodryansky, talks are being held with some of these companies about setting up a local manufacturing base.<BR>Quante Pouyet managers claim that the Russian telecommunications market is the most fast developing, and is a prime area for investment. In 1997 this sector received $870m investment.
