Work will be carried out by Danish company Per Aslef AS.
When the crisis began, Vodokanal found that it could not continue to finance the work: their cost was indexed to foreign currency. The Danish government decided to allocate a grant from their ecology fund, so that the Danish company could complete the work.
This is not the first time that Denmark has helped the city. A month and a half ago, the Danish Central Heating Council announced that it was giving the city equipment worth a million kroners for the construction of a gas boiler station. Finland also allocates funds for the reconstruction of St Petersburg sewers.
